How to wash and dry one Folkness-Duvet?

- Washing capacity: Wash one Folkness-Duvet at a time in a normal-sized washing machine. For double duvets, you should have a washing machine with a capacity of 7 kg or more, not because of the weight, but because the drum is often smaller on machines with a lower capacity. Pillow cases can advantageously be washed together with the duvets to fill up the machine. (If it fits in your machine, running two quilts at the same time will work. Just be aware that it may contribute to more wrinkles, but who cares about a little wrinkles anyway?)
- Break the washing pattern: Because the Folkness Blankets are easy to handle without complicated duvet covers, consider washing them separately when needed instead of piling up a big mountain of laundry. Maybe you need to wash yours Duvet more often than your partner for example.
- Wash less often: Turn the duvet between washes to extend the time between washes. Remember that bed sheets and pillowcases that you have direct contact with collect more dirt and should be washed more often.
- Washing temperature: The Folkness blanket can withstand 60 degrees, but for regular cleaning we recommend lower temperatures such as 40 degrees. With today's efficient washing machines and detergents, the result is almost the same. To kill mites, you need to wash at 60 degrees for at least an hour.
- Detergent: Do not use fabric softener and preferably use liquid detergent. Do not overdose and choose a detergent that is gentle and free of bleach for the best care of yours Duvet.
- Drying options: You get the fastest drying by using a tumble dryer, but hanging drying also works great. You can dry a single quilt or a double quilt in a normal-sized tumbler.
- Do you want a plain Duvet: Remove the duvet from the dryer before it is completely dry and hang up. Then most of the wrinkles are smoothed out.
- If you hang dry: If you wash the duvet in the morning or during the forenoon, you have a tort Duvet ready for bed before bedtime. A sustainable and smart alternative.
- Important: Do not use tennis balls or the like in the dryer when drying Folkness- blankets.
