Lives in: The turn-of-the-century villa in Kungsbacka that we can finally call HOME; here we are renovating for the long term, for ourselves—not to make a quick profit!
Family: I live with my husband Anton and our two daughters, Mila (5) and Vera (3).
Work: I work as Commercial Manager at Polestar.
What do you do when you’re not decorating and making the home cozy: I love spending time with family and friends! We enjoy traveling, good food, and nice wine. Hunting for treasures at flea markets and auctions has long been a favorite hobby.
What’s the best thing about Folkness: I love that Folkness products are so comfortable and easy to wash. With small kids and a house always changing, it’s perfect to have things that are simple to care for. The colors are also truly beautiful!
In 2022, Lovisa and her husband Anton took on the challenge of renovating their newly purchased home to restore and deepen its historic character, making it truly their own. With a strong interest in interior design and renovation, they have carefully chosen details that reflect their personal style.
Timeless interiors
“For us, the most important thing is that the home feels welcoming and comfortable,” Lovisa explains. “We always think long term and prefer to follow our own style rather than passing trends. Much of the furniture comes from my very first home—pieces I loved then and still love ten years later. We’ve combined these with new, handpicked items to create a balanced mix.

Sources of inspiration that shape a home
Lovisa finds inspiration from many places, especially from old antiques with stories to tell. “I love drawing inspiration from everyday life and old films. Carl Larsson’s home is also a big source of inspiration for me! We’ve brought Swedish folk art and rustic details into the decor, which creates a warm and inviting feel

A renovation journey focused on details
In 2022, Lovisa and Anton began their big project of renovating the house. "We wanted everything—from materials to color choices—to match and create a unified feel," Lovisa explains. They started by carefully selecting colors that reflect the home’s original character. The living room was given a calm palette of beige and cream tones, while the kitchen was highlighted with a warm green shade, a checkered floor, and a red kitchen island.
The old plank floors were restored to their former beauty through gentle sanding and treatment to preserve the natural charm of the wood. In the dining room, Anton added handmade mirrors that not only enlarge the space but also reflect the natural light in a remarkable way.

When asked what makes Folkness special for her, Lovisa highlights how their products simplify her daily routine. "I love that Folkness products are so comfortable and easy to wash.
