At Evelina’s home, Christmas is approaching without the traditional red color. Instead, our eyes are drawn to some soft Apricot amaryllis flowers that beautifully complement the terracotta wallpaper in the bedroom. Traditional Christmas decorations aren’t really Evelina’s style. For her, a few simple wreaths with green branches, some fir trees outside the door, and carefully chosen lighting are enough to create the desired atmosphere.
The bedroom features a double duvet in the shade Smokey pink from Folkness, a color some might find unusual for the Christmas season. But for Evelina, it’s a natural choice. She sticks to earthy tones all year round and adds subtle festive touches that hint at Christmas without being too traditional.
When we ask Evelina for her best advice to create a memorable Christmas, she answers quickly: “Let go of the pressure and enjoy the fact that Christmas will come anyway.” She believes the focus should be on what truly brings joy. And maybe she finishes with a tip everyone could use: “Why not leave the Christmas cleaning until after the day itself? Who cares about a few stains on the counter or pine needles on the floor? It will be Christmas anyway.”
